Why we tag every line of live state
Confidence labels protect our readers from invented live data. Confirmed is reserved for verified board feeds and franchise releases. Likely describes a status backed by two independent sources. Doubtful is a single source, late news. Unavailable is verified through press or board statements.
We do not tag any probable XI as Confirmed unless the team has officially announced it. The news feed carries a separate newsroom read for every status change. The two together — the live page and the news feed — keep the live desk honest without forcing the reader to chase 14 tabs of score widgets.
Where a live feed is unavailable, the fixture is marked Sample. Sample fixtures show the table layout but never claim a live state. We link the official source wherever possible; readers can switch with one tap to the board's scorecard.

How often is the updated timestamp refreshed?
We refresh at the end of every over and on every wicket or break. The timestamp is the time the newsroom noted the change, not a feed refresh.
